Balance

I need balance. Somehow I’ve gotten a bit off-track. I’m giving WAY too much importance to things that don’t matter and letting important things slide. I need to be more conscious in my life, make a better effort to do what’s good, not just what’s easy. That’s my goal…manage my time, be aware of the way I’m spending my life.

Going to church tomorrow, getting tired of not knowing anyone. I know the gospel is true no matter what, but it was a lot more fun going to church with my friends! I know these things take time, but the newness excitement has worn off and just left boredom and a little loneliness in its place.

Talked to mom today, her big advise was to invest in a good bra. She said she feels like a much younger lady today after her fitting and purchases yesterday. Thanks, mom, for the good advise. I’ll be taking you up on that soon!:)

mom - Hi, Shannon,
Thanks so much for setting up this page. It will be fun. We went over to Mike’s tonight and had okra gumbo with shrimp, crab, halibut, and other good stuff. It was like out of a cooking magazine. Steve and Mindy brought Cameron’s birthday cake because he is two today. Jeff went to Albuquerque last week to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity. There were about 20 kids from Weber that went during their spring break. He had a good time. Layne said he and Jami and Ben Valentine went bouldering Friday at the San Rafael Swell and had a good time but when he got out the sleeping bags, he realized he had brought Saturday night specials instead of the good bags. They froze. Layne and Jami spoke in their ward last week. After, someone asked if they knew Colonel Caldwell and someone else asked if they knew Eldean Holliday and Jami said they bought their house from him. Small world. We finished the roof just in time because it rained a lot yesterday. However, the porch leaks now worse than it did before. The man is coming back Tuesday to look at it. Love, Mom
