I think life is kind of like photography. Sometimes, it’s important to zoom in and catch the small details. Point out the small nuggets of beauty…faces, blossoms, interesting details… so they don’t get lost to the "bigger picture". Sometimes it’s important to step back and get the whole landscape shot, see the whole setting. Sometimes I think I get too busy looking at (and enjoying) the small details, but by forgetting to look at the setting, I’m in danger of walking off the wrong direction. Of course, it’s the small details that get me through my days. The smiles, the hugs, the new teeth, new words, little accomplishments. These are truly the joys of my everyday. And looking at the big picture can be overwhelming…more dishes, more laundry, messes, never-ending butt-wipes and nose blows…but I think I need to see something even larger, beyond my house, and even beyond my life. Appreciate EVERYTHING once in a while.

Shelley - I am so glad you set this up girl! It will be fun to hear your “inspirational” words, get to know you better. Although I already do feel I know you but this will for sure help. I was just thinking very much along the lines of your message here! It is so true, we can get so narrowed in our thoughts and daily lives. There is indeed a much bigger world out there beyond us! Scarry but also exciting!

Happy Monday Shannon!!
