Happy Halloween!

I meant to post this stuff a week ago. But for numerous and various reasons, it didn’t happen.

Anyway… Halloween just happens to be my favorite holiday. I love that it’s mostly a normal day, only off one shade. And people actually visit their neighbors. Kind of. :) I love it for many reasons, the candy being a big one of them.

I’m a bit ashamed of the fact that while I love the day, I put zero effort or planning into it. We began the evening by carving the pumpkins we bought the day before.B1 Notice… F-Dawg is using a marker rather than a knife. I’m just an awesome parent like that.

B2_2 We set aside the pumpkin seeds so we could roast them. Don’t tell anyone, but that bowl is still sitting outside on the picnic table. The first couple days, I still mean to roast them. But at this point, it’s out there because I’m afraid to look at whatever science experiment it’s become.

B6 The intense concentration… coloring even the seeds… this boy is thorough.

B7 This girl makes me smile.

Posing with the finished products.

Although my kids had crappy costumes, my dog didn’t. I think she’s adorable.

B3_4 She’s a bumblebee, by the way. Here’s a view of her wings…

Awwww…

One more shot of everyone before we took off, since Diggy wasn’t wearing his hat in the last one. Also, please note: Easter baskets are not just for Easter.

B8 Shelby decided not to use the glasses, so I found use for them. Unfortunately, this costume felt way too natural…

Awww sis, those glasses aren’t that bad at all. It’s the way hot ‘come hither’ look you are sporting that really makes it happen….

I love all the costumes–especially the ghost. WAAAAY creative. And I’m wondering how many times you have had a goat in your family. This has to make about 10 years in a row? You make me laugh…. :)

LOve the one with them and their carved pumpkins.
    Very cool.
I didn’t even get pumpkin shots this year.
I do have a lot of costume shots though….
    hopefully they make-up for it.

I love the pictures! Especially Sophia next to her pumpkin (5th one down). Also, Fritz, um I mean Piper, looks so adorable as a bee.

Love the kitchen by the way. Good stain choice on the cabinets. The mosaic tile backsplash rocks.

I can’t believe how big your kids are, especially the younger two. I hope I get to see you again before they’re in high school. Way to be ambitious about the pumpkin seeds. I just threw mine away this year. Last year I roasted them and I was the only one who ate them. And you can only eat so many pumpkin seeds.
