The first session in my new studio. :)

First, can I just say how much I ***LOVE*** having a studio? Every time I drive over there, every time I walk in, every time I look out the window onto the street and see how stinking adorable downtown Campbell is, I just get so giddy with excitement. After spending over a decade picking up...

And I love your blog and your site and your logo and all of it. You’ve done really amazing things, Shannon!!!

Post-a-palooza…

I’ve got a huge backlog of sessions that haven’t been posted. And I’m starting to feel bad, because I love each and every one. Honestly. There’s something about hanging out with a family for over an hour, getting to know them, watching them interact, then coming home and re-living it as I proof. It’s amazing...

Cute Maternity

These two are (ok, were, as this session is from a while ago and I’ve since done the baby session which can be seen here… eventually) expecting their first child. I love the excitement of soon-to-be first-time parents… They’re on the verge of something huge and while they *think* they have an idea of what...

Hi there!

So, I got back safely. (Last week.) And I had a great time. Tonight I had a dinner to remind me of the good times I had in Kentucky. You know… Kentucky Fried Chicken!!  Complete with “honey sauce” that’s only 11% honey and “buttery spread” that didn’t even bother to include ingredients on the packet....

Andrea - Kentucky misses you….

November 15, 2008 - 11:37 pm

kent - Oh I think you forgot that one of your friends is probably the biggest KFC nerd around. The Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant is actually not the first KFC. The first KFC in in your little home state of Utah! On South State Street to be exact. And it was named Kentucky Fried Chicken not because the Colonel was from Corbin but because Pete Harman thought it sounded better than Utah Fried Chicken! Yours truely helped created the memorabilia that is in the UT restaurant which included one of the Colonel’s original suite incased in glass. I could go on and on but I might scare you event more…

Help me find a book.

I’ve finished the books I had on my to-read shelf, and am finding myself without anything to read for my trip home on Tuesday. I’m calling out to you (yes, YOU!) to please suggest a great new read. Pretty please?

Holli - Looks like you are having a great time! What beautiful pictures!

I really liked The Host by Stephenie Meyer (better than the Twilight books). The first few chapters are hard to get into because it seems too sci-fi. But it’s a great story once you get going about human nature and such. Loved it.

I liked The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones. And I haven’t read it yet, but my sister told me These Is My Words by Nancy E. Turner is really good.

October 27, 2008 - 6:27 am

Stefani Meyer - Ok, I have NO suggestions. Sorry, I just haven’t been reading lately, but I had to comment that 2 times in the last 2 minutes (NO JOKE) I have gotten the recommendations for “Love Walked In” and it’s sequel, I’m gonna go with that.

October 27, 2008 - 6:06 pm

Kayli - I just read ‘Summers at Castle Auburn’ by Sharon Shinn and it was the most enjoyable story I’ve read for a long time.

October 27, 2008 - 7:49 pm

Laurissa - I just read The City of Ember and The City of Sparks (YA/Kids books). I highly recommend them for ease and enjoyment. Also, Wallace Stegner’s The Angle of Repose, a great book.

October 27, 2008 - 8:02 pm

Brenda Miles - Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See.

October 27, 2008 - 8:19 pm

October 27, 2008 - 8:46 pm

Krista - I loved the Time Traveler’s Wife. Am enjoying The Memory Keeper’s Daughter now. LOVE anything by JAmes Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, MAry Higgins CLark and Jodi Picoult. HTH :)
