Limited Edition Mini-Sessions! | San Jose photographer

Mark your calendars for May 9! I’ll be in downtown Campbell for a day of mini-sessions… These don’t happen often, and I don’t know when I’ll do it again. So if you’re looking for the opportunity to get some pictures taken of your loved ones in a fun and fresh way, this is your chance!

The Deets:
You get a 15-minute time slot on the morning of May 9. You’ll be presented with 10-12 images to choose from in an online gallery, and every mini-session includes one 11×14 print (no substitutions, value $110). The cost is $150. Talk about a steal of a deal! I’m excited to be able to offer these occasionally, because I know that custom photography doesn’t fit into everyone’s budget, but everyone loves beautiful images of their favorite people and this is an opportunity to provide that. :)

These limited edition sessions book up quickly, so don’t wait! Email me to get on the list.

Last fall, we had a great time at the minis… here are some favorites!

Katie and Kevin love each other |Campbell engagement photography

I know I say this every time, but I love these guys! I think it might be impossible to not love someone I photograph. Somehow, looking through the viewfinder at them makes me love them. But these guys made it easy! I love the way they interact. I think you can get a feel of that from these images.

Pats on the back for me! | San Jose Baby and Child Photographer

Tonight I made the family’s favorite dinner: The annual “Don’t Be a Fool” dinner. It’s just a regular dinner, but with a menu. I make up words for all the items, then people have to choose their items from each category in the menu. So, for example, while I made a pasta dish for dinner, some people unknowingly chose “triangulo” and got leftover pizza or “cowabino” and got cold cereal. Franklin was delighted with his dinner: cold cereal, salad, and chips. Fun stuff. Each year, there is dog food on the menu somewhere, but this year, nobody chose it. I love it because it’s really not more work than a regular meal (except for printing up the silly menu), and I get major props for being a super fun mom. I’m hoping they remember this when they grow up and think it was like this all the time. Maybe they’ll forget every way in which I’m failing and only remember awesome April Fools dinners. One can wish, right?

Speaking of fools…

blogmatt

My new favorite shot of Matthew. Even though it’s kind of old, from Halloween. He was a nerd. This is his nerd face. I found it when I was looking through my folders before the open house. It had been overlooked, but I found it and made it black and white and fell in love. I found a bunch of gems, I’ll be posting them now and then.

April 2, 2009 - 6:51 am Kathi - That is a gem!! Love the April Fools dinner! Sounds like a lotta fun!

April 2, 2009 - 6:05 pm Andrea - I love the april fools dinner! My kids aren't old enough to get it yet. But I'm thinking next year it will happen. I didn't play a single prank this year. Lame-o. And I love Matt. So awesome.

April 3, 2009 - 4:17 pm Lilia - Girl, I freaking love this shot!! I loved it today in your studio, and I love it big and giant on my computer screen!! You ROCK! :-)

April 8, 2009 - 10:46 pm Kristen Hansen - Seriously Shannon, you rock. I love your ideas, your personality and your photos. You ARE a cool mom, they WILL remember.

April 10, 2009 - 8:31 pm Kaija - what a great dinner idea and what a great photo!

April 11, 2009 - 5:13 pm michelle - are you kidding me? Where in the world did you get these glasses?
