This is SO awesome Shannon! Except for the first run. And the sprinklers (but man, that made me laugh!). You have totally inspired me. A few hours ago, I signed up for a half marathon in September. Yeah, don’t even know what I am thinking, but a few days ago I said I would do it, so I must. But I’m scared. And yet, if it isn’t 110 degrees, I’ll just be thrilled with anything that happens. Way to go both of you!
I’ve done Ragnar (Utah) Wasatch Back 3 times. Love…Love…Love it!!! Congrats on running a good race. Such good memories. So fun to read your blog.
This is good to read as we will be doing our first Ragnar in Napa in the fall. We tried to get it together to do the same one as you, but as it happened we would be taking Kelsi back to school that very week. Congratulations on getting your groove on and making it a fun experience.
Hahaha! My favorite part is imagining Dave, blind, trying to hop away from sprinklers that are chasing him. Love it! Thanks for sharing your experience. This sounds like a lot of fun! Good job on running the most you’ve ever run in your life

Wow. I don’t know if you know Amy Sorensen but she has blogged about doing a Ragnar (I thought it was just one race in UT) and her writing about it is pretty awesome, and scares me to death as a beginning runner, ha. Though I do run at night on base in the summer and it is by far my most favorite thing about running–stars, no sun, quiet… only worrying about getting swooped by bats or confronted by badgers : )
